Greenland Energy Co Chairman Larry Swets Joins Sidus Space Board as Audit Committee Chair

Sidus Space has appointed Greenland Energy Co Chairman Larry G. Swets Jr., CFA, to its Board of Directors as an independent director and Chair of its Audit Committee.

The Nasdaq-listed space and defense technology company said the appointment became effective October 5 and was announced October 12. Sidus said Swets will oversee financial reporting, internal controls and risk management in his Audit Committee role. investors.sidusspace.com

Asked by GreenlandEnergy.com why he joined Sidus, Swets said: “Space is amazing, looking forward to supporting Carol and the team.”

Asked whether the appointment has any operational connection to Greenland Energy or its Jameson Land project in East Greenland, Swets replied: “None.”

Carol Craig, Sidus Space’s founder, CEO and board chair, said the company wanted Swets’s perspective as a public-company executive with experience in capital raises and transactions.

“Larry has sat in the CEO’s seat through capital raises and transactions, and that is the perspective we want in the boardroom as we put the capital raised in the second quarter to work,” Craig said in the company’s announcement.

Swets said his focus as Audit Committee Chair would be clear financial reporting, strong internal controls and disciplined capital deployment.

A two-way board overlap

The appointment creates a direct board overlap between the two companies.

Craig joined Greenland Energy’s Board of Directors on June 5 and also became a member of its Audit Committee. Greenland Energy said at the time that her aerospace, defense, engineering and public-company experience would be valuable as the company advances its Jameson Land exploration program. www.sec.gov

The Sidus announcement describes Swets’s new position specifically as an independent directorship and Audit Committee chairmanship. It does not identify Greenland Energy, Jameson Land, Greenland, Trump, Golden Dome or missile defense as reasons for his appointment.

Sidus and Golden Dome

Sidus does, separately, have a documented connection to the U.S. Missile Defense Agency’s SHIELD contract vehicle.

In a December 2025 announcement, Sidus said it was one of the awardees under the Missile Defense Agency’s Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense, or SHIELD, IDIQ contract. Sidus described SHIELD as part of the broader Golden Dome missile-defense strategy and said its technologies could support Golden Dome needs. investors.sidusspace.com
