Greenland Energy Completes 2026 Environmental Fieldwork at Jameson Land

Greenland Energy Company (Nasdaq: GLND) announced on September 28 that it has completed its 2026 environmental baseline field program at Jameson Land in East Greenland, providing further data for the ongoing environmental assessment and permitting process.

According to the company, surveys covered soil and freshwater sampling, vegetation and habitats, and wildlife and bird observations around proposed well locations and a coastal landing site.

Environmental consultants conducted the work with support from geoscientists and local hunters employed as wildlife safety guards. Crews operated from Nerlerit Inaat, also known as Constable Point.

Greenland’s Ministry of Business and Mineral Resources approved the field activities on August 19 for license holder White Flame Energy A/S, with permission running through September 30.

“There is no shortcut through Greenland’s regulatory process, and we are going to continue the process one day and one step at a time,” said Executive Chairman Larry G. Swets Jr.

The update follows a September 24 amendment to the company’s agreement with 80 Mile. Both exploration wells now have contractual deadlines of December 31, 2028. Greenland Energy Company assumed responsibility for securing and maintaining drilling permits at its own cost, while 80 Mile remains responsible for other government consents under the agreement and will assist with permitting.

The completed surveys will contribute to the ongoing Environmental Impact Assessment.
