Nordhavn Power Solutions returned from PolarExpo 2026 with inquiries from existing and prospective customers, while highlighting the importance of supporting equipment after it is sold into Greenland.
Based in Randers, Denmark, Nordhavn Power Solutions supplies marine diesel engines and complete propulsion systems, including gearboxes and propeller systems, along with generators for onboard electricity and emergency power. The company also provides maintenance, repairs and spare parts support for marine engines, transmissions and generators.
Jørk Rudolph, CSO of Nordhavn Power Solutions, said the fishing and hunting trade show in Ilulissat was well organized and brought valuable opportunities to meet people working in the marine sector.

But his clearest message concerned what happens after a sale.
“It is very important that there is aftermarket support in Greenland,” Rudolph told GreenlandEnergy.com. “We see too many cases of material being sold but there is no support afterwards.”
Nordhavn has participated in the event for many years and knows many of its visitors. Even so, Rudolph said each show brings new contacts and useful conversations.

“This year we again brought home many inquiries from both existing as well as new potential customers,” he said. “This business is very much about relations and consistency.”
His comments underline the value of maintaining a regular presence and building relationships over time, alongside providing continued support for customers in Greenland.
Nordhavn plans to exhibit again at PolarExpo in 2028.
