Greenland Mines expands investor access with Xetra trading

Greenland Mines shares have begun trading on Xetra, Deutsche Börse’s electronic trading platform in Germany, providing an additional route for investors to buy and sell the company’s stock in euros.

The company announced the move on October 19. MWB Fairtrade AG will serve as designated sponsor, supporting trading with the aim of improving liquidity and turnover.

Greenland Mines’ shares were already available through German venues including Frankfurt, Tradegate, Munich, and Gettex. The company said access to Xetra would expand its reach among European institutional and retail investors, as well as investors using participating firms in Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates.

“Trading on Xetra is a logical step in building Greenland Mines’ presence in global capital markets,” said Bo Møller Stensgaard, the company’s president.

Stensgaard said the company expects the additional trading access to broaden its shareholder base and improve price discovery. Euro-denominated trading during European market hours also offers a longer overlap with the working day in parts of Asia and the Middle East than U.S. trading hours.

Greenland Mines is developing the Skaergaard precious-metals project in southeast Greenland and the Sarfartoq rare-earth project in southwest Greenland. Its portfolio also includes a strategic investment in AnorTech, which is developing alumina and other materials from Greenland anorthosite.
