Greenland Mines Joins Greenland Business Association as Skaergaard Preparation Continues
Greenland Mines said this week that its 80% owned Greenlandic subsidiary, Major Precious Greenland A/S, has joined Greenland Business Association (Sulisitsisut), in a move the company described as part of building a stronger long term presence in Greenland. The company said the membership will give it a forum for dialogue around infrastructure, education and skills, taxation and regulation, and access to labor and capital, the same practical issues that will shape whether large projects in Greenland can move forward in a way that actually benefits the country.
The timing also fits Greenland Mines’ broader Skaergaard push. In recent weeks, the company announced a WSP Denmark environmental baseline program tied to the exploitation license pathway and secured the ice class vessel Argus for the 2026 field campaign. Joining Greenland Business Association is part of that wider preparation, linking the company more closely to the business environment, practical constraints, and institutional conversations that matter in Greenland. At GreenlandEnergy.com, we have seen first hand that Greenland Business Association is responsive, pragmatic, and forward thinking in how it engages with Greenland’s current and future needs.
