GreenRoc Strategic Materials has completed the first three holes of its Phase III drilling program at the Amitsoq Graphite Project in South Greenland, with all three intersecting significant graphite layers.
According to GreenRoc’s August 13 announcement, the largest intersection was recorded in hole AM_DD_043, which encountered the Lower Graphite Layer at a depth of approximately 137 meters with a true thickness of 21.3 meters.
Hole AM_DD_040 intersected the Upper Graphite Layer at approximately 36 meters depth with a true thickness of 4.8 meters. It also intersected the Lower Graphite Layer at approximately 93 meters depth with a true thickness of 9.2 meters.
The first hole, AM_DD_039, previously intersected the Lower Graphite Layer with a true thickness of 9.7 meters.

GreenRoc said the latest holes extend the known mineralization farther north from drilling completed in 2021 and 2022. The announcement reported intersection thicknesses but did not include assay grades.
Geotechnical measurements are taking longer than originally anticipated, although the company remains confident that it can complete the drilling and data collection required to begin a Pre Feasibility Study later this year.
GreenRoc is also advancing its downstream graphite processing work in Denmark. On August 12, most of the equipment required for the purification line at its active anode material pilot plant was being packed for shipment from Sepor Inc.’s facility in Florida.
The equipment is expected to arrive at GreenRoc’s plant in Hørsholm, Denmark, by the end of September. Meanwhile, researchers from IPU and the Technical University of Denmark are continuing work on the purification process, including efforts to reduce reagent use, energy consumption and handling stages.
GreenRoc has also begun working with the European Investment Bank’s InvestEU Advisory Hub. An initial market analysis and draft economic model for the integrated Amitsoq mine and active anode material business have now been presented to the company.
The progress is also relevant to Arkadian Strategic Metals, formerly Alba Mineral Resources. Arkadian states that it holds a 24.94% shareholding in GreenRoc, giving it indirect exposure to Amitsoq through its GreenRoc shares rather than a direct project interest.
With drilling continuing in Greenland and purification equipment moving toward Denmark, GreenRoc is advancing the resource and downstream processing components of its mine to anode material strategy at the same time.
