Arkadian Strategic Metals has advanced its 2026 field program at the Motzfeldt Critical Metals Project, with bulk sample material now transported from the Aries target area to Narsarsuaq.
In an August 10 update, Arkadian released video footage showing material being moved by helicopter from the project area in South Greenland.
The company said bulk sampling at Motzfeldt is continuing and that the material will support the next phase of processing and metallurgical test work.
The Aries bulk sample is intended to build on Arkadian’s initial beneficiation and flotation work and help the company better understand how potentially valuable minerals can be separated and concentrated from the surrounding rock.
In its July 21 field program update, Arkadian identified the handling and onward transportation of the Aries bulk sample as one of the logistical steps required during the 2026 program. The latest footage shows that work now being carried out.
The material was transported to Narsarsuaq, the former main aviation gateway to South Greenland. Since fixed wing traffic shifted to the new Qaqortoq Airport earlier this year, Narsarsuaq has seen a sharp decline in airport and tourism activity, with the former airport now primarily serving helicopter operations.
