Dalaroo Metals has mapped sediment packages reaching approximately 50 meters in depth at its Blue Lagoon Rare Earth Project in southern Greenland, giving the company its first detailed view beneath the project’s shoreline environments.
The independent geophysical survey, released July 23, included 21 Ground Penetrating Radar survey lines across five priority shoreline targets and ten bathymetric survey lines across the lagoon.

The thickest sediment packages were identified at Sites A, B and C, where interpreted depths commonly range between 30 and 50 meters.
At several locations, the sediment extended beyond the effective penetration depth of the radar equipment. Dalaroo said sediment thickness may locally exceed 50 meters.
The radar and bathymetric results provide the foundation for the first three dimensional model of the Blue Lagoon sedimentary basin. The data will help Dalaroo identify locations for future auger drilling, bulk sampling and direct testing.
New valleys expand the exploration area
The survey also identified several previously unrecognized sediment filled valleys extending beyond Dalaroo’s existing exploration footprint.
Dalaroo interprets the valleys as additional transport routes connecting rare earth enriched alkaline granite in the surrounding terrain with the sedimentary environments around Blue Lagoon.
The company’s source to sink model proposes that weathering releases mineral grains containing rare earth elements, zirconium and hafnium from the surrounding rocks. Drainage systems then transport those minerals into the lagoon and shoreline areas, where natural processes can concentrate heavier mineral grains.
Dalaroo CEO John Morgan said the survey demonstrates that “those sedimentary environments are substantially thicker than originally understood.”
The newly mapped valleys will become part of Dalaroo’s expanded exploration program during the 2027 field season.

Previous sampling established mineralization at the surface
Dalaroo’s 2025 exploration program identified a mineralized corridor extending approximately 2.7 kilometers across Blue Lagoon.
The company previously reported peak results of 0.81 percent total rare earth oxides, 4.42 percent zirconium oxide and 99 parts per million hafnium from surface and shallow sampling.
Its recently completed 2026 field program collected more than 200 geological, rock chip, stream sediment and surface sediment samples. Geological mapping also identified four additional rare earth targets across the broader project area.
Those samples are undergoing laboratory analysis.
Grades at depth remain untested
The latest survey establishes the thickness and physical geometry of the sediment basin rather than the concentration of minerals within it. Ground Penetrating Radar provides no direct measurement of rare earth, zirconium or hafnium grades.
Blue Lagoon remains an early stage exploration project without a defined mineral resource. Its commercial potential will depend on further sampling, drilling and metallurgical work establishing mineral grades, continuity and recoverability.
Dalaroo plans to combine the geophysical results with geological mapping, surface geochemistry and pending assay results. The company will then develop a detailed geological model to guide auger drilling, bulk sampling and possible resource evaluation.
The survey provides evidence that Blue Lagoon contains a substantially larger volume of sediment than surface exploration had indicated. Laboratory results and direct testing of the deeper sediments will determine how much of that expanded system contains meaningful concentrations of critical minerals.
