The company says technical, environmental and infrastructure work is intended to support a pathway toward a future exploitation license application in South Greenland.
Arkadian Strategic Metals has set out a 2026 work program for its Motzfeldt Critical Metals Project in South Greenland, following the company’s recent rebrand from Alba Mineral Resources and the start of trading on AIM under the AKN ticker.
In an operational update published Tuesday, Arkadian said it has commissioned a combination of desktop and field work intended to advance Motzfeldt on several fronts, including resource review, environmental baseline studies, infrastructure planning, remote sensing and hyperspectral imaging.
The company said SRK Consulting is reviewing the existing JORC Mineral Resource Estimate and historic project data, with the aim of defining the drilling and technical work needed to upgrade and expand the resource.

NIRAS is carrying out a gap analysis covering possible mine development options, including transport routes and mine infrastructure. Danish environmental consultancy BioApp is expected to carry out ecological baseline studies at key Motzfeldt sites in August 2026.
Arkadian also said Theia X will undertake satellite remote sensing across the license area to help identify rare earth mineral hotspots, with field based hyperspectral imaging planned at the Merino Prospect during the summer field program.
The company said a key goal of the 2026 programme is to provide a pathway toward a future exploitation license application. Work from NIRAS and BioApp is expected to inform a Project Description targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026.
Arkadian said final results from its first pass mineralogical and metallurgical test work programme are expected in the next few weeks. It also said it is in discussions over funding programs relevant to Motzfeldt, particularly processing and refining of niobium and rare earth elements.
